Tahi Martin

Tahi joins the No1 draft pick team as a specialist Professional Athlete Manager. After several years experience working as an Agent representing numerous players, Tahi launched his own Professional Player Management company in 2013. Being involved in basketball in various capacities over a period spanning in excess of 30 years, it was a natural progression into the business of sport.

Some of Tahi’s earliest memories were him following his mother to the local basketball stadium. Naturally basketball was a massive part of his growing up. Growing up in Sydney Tahi would go on to compete in the local junior representative basketball competition, eventually representing his State before being selected to the Division 1 Mens representative team (ABA) as a 16 year old. He would go on playing at this level for over a decade before beginning his career as a Player Agent.

Whilst representing his younger brother and a close personal friend, he acquired numerous NBL and New Zealand NBL contracts for them. Whilst doing this Tahi maintained a connection with grass roots basketball by coaching his local association’s U/16 and U/18 representative teams. After successfully helping develop Junior players he moved into an Assistant coaching position with the Senior Mens team for 3 years before being promoted to Head Coach where he maintained the position for 5 years.

Outside of basketball, Tahi brings a wealth of Management experience through his 10 year tenure in Health and Fitness club Management as well as 10 plus years experience in the Human Resources Industry.

Currently Tahi represents numerous professional basketball players in Australia,  New Zealand, India and Europe. This includes members of the Australian, New Zealand, Guam and Indian National teams.

After building a stellar stable of young and experienced talent Tahi joined forces with No1 Draft Pick to build Australia’s first full service basketball company. A company which encompasses programs from learn to play, development classes for reps, school programs, Elite sessions and now professional management services.
